New York Adult & Teen Challenge is here to help build a strong foundation for long term sobriety through the hope that is found within our centers. We are focused on healing the mind, heart, and soul of all who enter the doors of New York Adult & Teen Challenge by providing a faith-based approach so individuals can live their lives with confidence and to the fullest potential. Because the program is long term, it gives individuals the time they need to heal and grow in their new-found sobriety.
New York Adult & Teen Challenge programs are long-term residential treatment options for individuals looking for freedom from the vicious cycle of addiction. For the duration of our program, residents will partake in scheduled daily activities such as counseling, group devotionals, and work therapy. Our centers are a structured home environment; therefore, residents are given the opportunity to learn basic responsibilities such as how to upkeep a home and how-to live-in harmony with those around them.
One way we help teach responsibility and a positive worth ethic is though work therapy. We have found that as we offer various possibilities for exposure to a variety of work experience, residents begin to learn the importance of having a good work ethic. This assists our residents in seeing the value and the implications of work in their lives.
New York Adult & Teen Challenge is a faith-based program which is what differentiates us from other programs. We believe that true healing, growth, and freedom is found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We partake in daily devotions, basic biblical studies, and Church Services. Classes on how to adjust to newfound sobriety are taught with a biblical perspective to help set residents up for success during and after completion of the program. All staff are equipped to encourage, love, and guide the residents into freedom from addiction through the love of Christ.
New York Adult & Teen Challenge is an organization that seeks to promote excellence and comfort to those they serve. The ultimate goal is to see lives that are transformed, not just conformed to a certain standard. We desire to build men and women who will go on to be great assets to their families, their churches, and the community at large. We strive to include the family in the process that our residents are involved in so that they can grow as well as the resident. It is then that we see the restoration of individuals as well as their families.
