Buffalo Men’s Center

Our Buffalo Adult & Teen Challenge residential program provides hope, healing, and a future to those who struggle with life-controlling issues. We work with men ages 18 and up through their journey to sobriety. Men that come to our program not only receive a holistic approach to recovery from life-controlling problems, but they also acquire a new value system that honors family, takes responsibility for their community, cultivates a positive work ethic, and helps them become productive healthy members of society.

Our Buffalo Adult & Teen Challenge Center is over seen by Director Josh Collado, who has served the ministry of Adult & Teen Challenge since 2010.

Our campus consists of a Men’s Home and our focus is to restore the lives of those who are lost, broken, and have been caught in the vicious cycle of addiction.

Our men’s center provides a secure and stable environment where they can find and experience freedom from addiction. Our Men’s Home provides 30 men the opportunity to change their lives.

Residents in our program engage in one-on-one counseling throughout the duration of their recovery, as well as develop life skills necessary for career development. The residents receive training and classes pertaining to interview skills, customer service training, resume writing, budgeting and finance, auto maintenance, and so much more.

New York Adult & Teen Challenge is set apart from other centers throughout the country with the availability of counseling services. Our licensed counselors work with the residents in individual, group, and marital sessions once a week to assist in their journey of recovery and to treat the various mental and emotional disorders and behavioral challenges that may present themselves.

We endeavor to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balances, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive.

Joshua’s journey from a tumultuous youth in Brooklyn, NY, to a life of purpose in Buffalo is marked by resilience and transformation. Battling a severe drug addiction in his early years, Joshua found hope and renewal through the New York Adult & Teen Challenge program. This pivotal experience not only helped him conquer his addiction but also led him to meet his future wife, with whom he embarked on a journey of faith and service in church ministry.

After years of dedicated service, Joshua and his wife felt a calling to return to the New York Adult & Teen Challenge, where they now inspire others with their testimonies of recovery and faith. With over 14 years of sobriety under his belt, Joshua has built a stable and fulfilling life in Buffalo. He and his wife are proud parents to three beautiful children—a son and two daughters—who are the joy of their lives.

Joshua’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and faith in overcoming adversity. Through his own transformation, he continues to impact the lives of others, offering hope and guidance to those facing similar struggles in their journey toward recovery and personal growth.
